A reminder to complete the Brisbane City Council survey on the concept plan for Murarrie Recreation Reserve! Other sports are understandingly advocating for additional facilities. Whilst Balmoral CC will support any other safe community usage, we think wheeled sports needs to remain the primary purpose of Murarrie Rec ground. With only one other cycle circuit in Brisbane, riders we need to clearly communicate the importance of being able to safely train and race at Muzz. Have your say now: https://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4896839/DSRPCP-MurarrieRR We ask that you only complete the survey once. ... See more

Today was yet another fantastic but massive day at the famous "Muzz". A big thanks to the Brisbane cycling festival and NXsports for bringing UCI Crit racing to Brisbane's home of crit racing. We had fantastic racing across the board from spectacular numbers in Womens C/D and Masters to the large and very high level fields who charged around Muzz in the UCI Men’s and Women’s crits. With all the track racing that's being going on in Brisbane for the last month, it's been great to get outside again and today has been fantastic for Brisbane Cycling. Apologies to anyone who had to wait in line to register, get a coffee or some food : we appreciate your patience. Come back again, especially if this is the first time you've come to Muzz. Also a big thank-you to all our volunteers today, but especially the crowd of people that stepped in to help when it was needed. I can't list them all here but tag them below everyone! A reminder that we have no racing next weekend due to Easter, (and slight touch of volunteer fatigue). Since too much track racing is barely enough .... remember that we have more fantastic track racing this evening and tomorrow at AMV with the @sixday and tomorrow go and watch the NRS "Tour De Brisbane" if you haven’t already registered to ride. ...
