One of Balmoral Cycling Club’s main focus areas is developing our juniors into well rounded and competitive riders.
On Saturday mornings, we run a Junior Development (JD) program – an hour-long skills session conducted by our qualified junior coaches, followed by junior simulated races. Our JD program caters for juniors aged U9 – U17 years.
It’s a condition of our JD program that all juniors must participate in the skills session each week prior to racing. All Balmoral Club coaches are AusCycling Queensland qualified and hold current Blue Cards. We expect all junior riders to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, unless alternative arrangements have been previously organised with the JD Coordinator.
Our JD program is conducted according to COVID-safe requirements; participants and spectators please sign in using the Check In Qld app.
For more information on our JD program, please drop in and see us at the clubhouse on Saturday mornings, or contact our JD Coordinator: firstname.lastname@example.org
