Muzz Track Bookings
Balmoral Cycling Club is a primary licensee of the Murarrie criterium circuit. Under this agreement with the Brisbane City Council, Balmoral Cycling Club may restrict entry to the cycling track during organised activities.
Balmoral Cycling Club has exclusive use of both the criterium and skate tracks on Saturday mornings from 5.30am – 11.30am when we hold our weekly criterium racing, and whenever we hold our annual events. We also have exclusive use of the skate track on Tuesday afternoons from 4.00pm – 5.00pm for our junior training. At these times the tracks are closed to all other users and signage around the perimeter of the track will indicate this.
We encourage shared use of the track at all other times. For rider safety, always ride in a clockwise direction on the criterium track. Slower riders must keep left (i.e. to the OUTSIDE of the track) to allow faster riders to pass on the right (i.e. passing on the INSIDE of the track). You should only enter and exit the U-shaped circuit from the INSIDE of the track. Always look both ways before you enter or leave the track. Skaters must travel in an anti-clockwise direction on the 500m skate track.
Any sporting or community group may book use of the tracks at any other time. A track booking allows you exclusive use of the track and access to the public toilets at the clubhouse. Other clubhouse facilities are not included in the booking (due to licence agreements with Council).
The booking system for the new criterium and skate tracks at the Brisbane International Cycle Park is managed by Brisbane City Council’s Public Space Operations team. At this stage you can make a booking by submitting a parks booking application or contact Council on 3403 8888.
