Metros 2024 is back on 18 & 19 May!

Balmoral Metropolitan Championships (aka Metros) is one of the major events on the Queensland Road Cycling calendar.

Scheduled as the first round of the Queensland Classic Road Series, Metros is Balmoral Cycling Club’s premier weekend racing championship.

Held over 2 days, riders participate in a Criterium on Saturday and follow up with the Road Race on Sunday. Juniors U9-U15 can race the criterium on Saturday, while U17s can race both the criterium and road race.

Running for over 50 years, Metros has been a “must ride” event for riders around the State.

Balmoral Junior and Women’s Tour

22 & 23 June 2024

In 2024, BJWT is round 2 of both the Santini J19 National Road Series and the BBB Queensland Junior Road Series.
With four stages raced over a weekend, the BJWT is one of the major junior and women’s events on the AusCycling Queensland calendar.
Stages include: time trial, road race, Mt Gravatt hill climb, criterium and a handicap race for juniors (u9-U13).

This signature event is one of three junior and two women’s tours on the SEQ racing calendar.

The Tour attracts around 150 competitors who include junior riders aged from under 9 to under 17 years, and developing, elite and Masters women.

BJWT is usually held on the last weekend in June (2 weeks before Junior State Road Championships).
